There are a few things in life that I believe you don't compromise and fresh cut flowers are one of them. A home is just not a home without fresh flowers. I love the smell of fresh lilies and roses and even the woody scent from a bunch of mixed Fynbos (Indigenous South African Plants). Flowers make me happy...it gives me joy!
For this weeks CSI Case File 91 I chose this picture of loosely arranged flowers taken last Christmas. This was the first time that Electra invited us for Christmas to her home and the table was dressed casually with this arrangement in a vintage milk jug. It was both homely and striking at the same time!
This is Case File 91:
The clues I used in my evidence is; a small flag and a metal accent.
some tearing, paint splats and drops,
And a border punch and ribbon.
My testimony is both in plain sight and hidden. On a pull out piece of "note paper " I wrote a quote and a confession: fresh flowers bring me ever lasting enjoyment!
The mood of the layout is somewhat vintage and reminds of a time when life was less complicated. Like last Christmas. And I liked that.
I had fun with the paint splats and I think you will see more of them in my future work!
Well, that all- thanks for stopping by!
